Back at the affiliate. I took March off and worked at the globo gym. Mulitple reasons.....
Today's WOD: 5 rft:
9 Hang Squat Clean 155#
9 L pullups
I scaled to 65# which really made me happy. I wanted work on squat cleans. I tend to power clean everything and wanted a lighter weight to work on catching the bar lower. This was just what I needed. Now, now I just need a couple hundred more reps of this.
The WOD was odd. The movements did not compliment, nor fight each other. It was like eating rice and mowing the lawn; there was just no connection. Normally I expect the WOD's to work in a debilitatingly harmonious manner so that the falling-over at the end is justified. With this WOD, the cleans were tough, but not killer. I wasn't out of breath. The L-pull resulted in muscular failure, but not metabolic distress. So the result was an unglorious matchup of difficult, but not hampering movements.
When the WOD was over it took all of 3 seconds to recover. Not typically CF. Oh well, there will be more. Plus, I was 90# off the prescribed weight and could only do 3 L-pulls before resorting to subs.
It was great to be back at the affiliate though. Very happy about this.
Time on the WOD: 12:15
